Chestnut Ridge Farm

Our family welcomes you to our farm!
Meet the family behind the farm. Rick, Julie, RJ (and his wife Kaitlyn) and Paige. We moved to Limestone in July of 2022 from a small farm in Middle Tennessee to be closer to family. We fell in love with this farm that has amazing mountain views and are so lucky that we call this home. We named the farm Chestnut Ridge because it has two beautiful chestnut trees and we have 3 chestnut colored horses, here on a ridge near the Nolichucky River.
On the farm you will find amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the TN/NC border. In spring the mountains are a beautiful green and in the fall they look like they are on fire with hues of yellows and orange. We enjoy waking up every morning to this beautiful scenery. There is also a pool, pool pavilion and small pool house that is available for overnight or short term rentals, as well as a chicken coop, large, rustic red barn, wooden fencing and beautiful established hydrangea bushes. In the spring through the fall there are various blooms on the property.
In the field you will find our three Chestnut colored horses, Lucy, Captain and Kate as well as our miniature donkey Lily. Our daughter Paige rides in local horse shows and we enjoy the company they all provide. They can be stalled, or left in the field for events. We also have about 25 free range chickens (and a rooster) that don't generally bother people but add a bit of whimsy to the farm. We have dogs and cats as well, but they will be crated or in the house for events.
We have plans to finish a bridal suite by spring, and the pool house can be used for the groom and groomsmen to get ready. The pool house will need to be free by the ceremony time to be used for the bathroom and kitchenette area. We also have plans to build a grooms area, as well as an additional reception/ceremony site in the barn for a rain backup - we have hopes to start on it for our 2025 season.
We will also be opening a farmstand to sell our eggs and baked goods, and Julie has plans to make homemade soap - a business she had in Middle Tennessee. We also are hoping to offer a few more fun things so stay tuned for updates!
We would be thrilled if you would come out and take a tour and consider us for your party or wedding needs.
